DEVELOPMENT

The definition of a serial entrepreneur, Dave has started and operated successful companies within multiple industries including banking, mortgage brokerage, childcare, retail clothing, and most recently a classic car dealership.  In 1990 he saw an opportunity to provide quality childcare for his employees, an idea that grew into The Children's Workshop, a regional leader in the early education field and among the top 50 largest operators in the nation as of 2018, when he successfully sold the company.  Dave has an incredible ability to see opportunity where others may miss it and has fostered his love for real estate by acquiring and developing residential and commercial properties throughout MA and RI.   Dave and Maggie teamed up to create Blackridge Properties in 2006 and he has been the driving force leading to the growth and success of the portfolio.  A graduate of Babson College, Dave continues to give back and support the school and his Theta Chi brothers.  An avid fisherman, you can often find Dave off the coast of Cape Cod or cruising the waters of Tampa Bay!  

DEVELOPMENT
 

After overseeing the opening and property management of an office tower in Downtown Boston, Maggie partnered with Dave to create Blackridge Properties as an entity to manage the family's growing real estate portfolio. In 2008, Maggie pivoted to help manage another successful company founded by Dave, The Children's Workshop, a provider of high-quality early education with schools in RI and MA. Maggie helped grow the company to 21 schools before leading The Children's Workshop through a sale process in 2018. Maggie then joined the Corporate Development Team at Cadence Education, a national child care operator, where she was integral in the acquisition of over 50 schools and helped the company weather the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Maggie "came home" to Blackridge Properties and now leads Development and Corporate Strategy for the company. Maggie is a graduate of Wellesley College and completed her MBA at the F.W. Olin School of Management at Babson College. She loves spending time with her husband, two daughters, and two adorable (and crazy) golden retrievers.

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
 

Charlie is a professional in all aspects of property management, including residential and commercial renovations, leasing, tenant relations, and managing contractors. He is also actively involved with all property development projects, including overseeing construction at our Wrentham, MA project.  Charlie grew up in Dover, MA and is a graduate of Stonehill College. He enjoys playing golf and hockey and spending time with his family including his wife Catherine, his son Wes, and his two dogs Mia and Gus. 

CONSTRUCTION
 

Yanni Vasvatekis joined Blackridge Properties in 2022 with over 14 years of experience in real estate development and property management. A self-starter, buying his first multi-family property at age 21, Yanni-co0founded Vasvatekis Investment Properties with his brother and quickly grew his portfolio to 10 residential investment units in Bristol County, Massachusetts. His love for real estate continued to flourish when he co-founded and developed 1620 Capital, LLC - the management entity for real estate investments, brokerage services and the 1620 Restaurant Group.   Yanni currently oversees a growing portfolio of over 45 spaces - commercial and retail units, residential real estate assets, and raw land holdings.  His most notable projects include: the industrial Jenkins Block Building in Whitman, MA; the historic Post Office Square Building in Plymouth, MA; and the extraordinary renovation of the Sconset Store on Nantucket Island, where his team transformed a dilapidated building to its former glory and into two beautiful residents.  Yanni is a highly motivated professional that settles for nothing less than perfection. He has a natural ability to multitask, focus on the big picture while still noticing the small details of a project, and has a solid reputation of producing high quality work and positive results.   At Blackridge, Yanni oversees and coordinates all aspects of construction.  When not “renovating America” (as he calls his passion for real estate), Yanni can be found managing his family’s restaurant, Supreme Pizza, teaching his three young sons how to push limits, or driving his beautiful wife crazy.

FINANCE
 

Marybeth joined Blackridge Properties in 2016 (we think – she’s been integral in our operations since the beginning of time so it’s hard to know when it became official). As our Chief Financial Officer, MB brings over 27 years of accounting experience to bear in managing all things finance, accounting, banking and budgeting. Prior to joining Blackridge, Marybeth served as CFO to The Children’s Workshop, having joined the company when it only had 3 schools, and was integral in helping them grow to 21 schools before divestiture in 2018. Marybeth has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and completed the Human Resources Certificate Program at Bryant University. When not at the office Marybeth enjoys traveling - especially to Patriots games, baking, and spending time with her family, including her husband Chris, daughter Jenna, son Joseph, and her adorable grandbabies!
